Description:
The Scamper supports the mission of Severson Dells and promotes sustainability. It is a ‘green race’ in which energy inputs and waste will be minimized and course markings will be low impact in an effort to minimize the race’s overall impact on the environment.
Event Details Distance: 5 K ( 3.1 Miles )
Race Day Registration 7:30 – 8:45 AM
Parking Parking at the Nature Center. Overflow parking will be posted. Allow 10 minutes from overflow parking to Race Registration area.
Course This race presents both the challenges of a trail run and the beautiful scenery of Severson Dells Forest Preserve. Runners will scamper through meadows, prairies, forests and over a creek in this environmentally friendly run. No dogs or strollers will be permitted on the race course.
Individual Awards
Environmentally friendly awards to overall male and female winners and top 3 male and female winners in each of the following age groups:
14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29,30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 and over.
