Bison Blend Prairie Seed Mix
Some, or all, of the species listed below are included in your Bison Blend seed mix.
Some species need to freeze before they’ll germinate. So our advice is to either plant this mix during the fall or winter so that it can experience the natural freeze-thaw cycle, or throw it in the freezer and wait until spring to plant it.
Remember, when you plant these seeds, lightly rake the soil first, spread the seeds and lightly rake the soil again so the seeds make good contact with the dirt. Lightly water the area.
Our thanks to the Winnebago County Forest Preserve for donating these seeds for our annual breakfast.
