Start: The 5k and 1 mi events will start in this field near the nature center.
Road: The courses for both distances begin on this road near the prairie and the woods.
Paved Trail: This is a section of the paved trail that is on both the 5k and 1 mi courses.
Pond: Both events will pass by this pond. The 5k runners will pass the pond right before the 1 mile mark.
Woods: This is a section of the unpaved trail that makes up the second mile of the 5k course.
Bridge: This is the second wooden bridge on the course. Runners in the 5k will cross this bridge right after the 2 mile mark. The water stop will be near this bridge.
Butterfly garden: Participants in the 1 mi event will end their journey with a loop through the Severson Dells Nature Center garden that of the nature center.
Finish: The 5k and 1 mi events will end at the end of this grassy trail behind the nature center.
